CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Mamby On The Beach was held for the first time at Oakwood Beach on July 11-12th, with 25,000 people in attendance! The lineup featured 50 artists ranging from live performances by genre-defying bands in the indie-dance world, with Empire of the Sun and Passion Pit closing out each night, to a selection of today’s most innovative DJs and producers including Art Department, ZHU, Cut Copy, James Murphy, and more!
While the festival stayed true to the Windy City’s heritage as the birthplace of house music, with sets by Chicago-born artists like Felix Da Housecat, Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Autograf, and many more, Mamby also offered music enthusiasts the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the beautiful lakefront. From the custom-built tiki bar and silent disco yoga sessions, to body painting and hair braiding, Mamby exceeded the expectations of many and left every attendee wanting more.
