ATLANTA, GEORGIA — Picture an aquatic themed wonderland with great music, art, performance, and more in the heart of a metropolitan cultural hub. What you are picturing is Imagine Music Festival (IMF), and it is returning to Atlanta, GA on August 26-28th for its third year. Only this year, Imagine Festival will be moving to a bigger, better venue at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the largest event facility in the ATL. After its first year, IMF doubled in attendance, so this year there will be all new camping included in a venue that can hold over 100k music festival enthusiasts.
Every year IMF has put together an eclectic EDM (with some Hip-Hop) lineup to impress fans. This year, the lineup is more diverse than ever, with headliners from multiple sub-genres of EDM. Looking for some classic dubstep? Adventure Club, Caspa b2b Rusko, and Excision will be there to wreck up the place. Maybe some Drum N’ Bass is more your taste? Pendulum, Nero, Aphrodite and more are going to throw down at the Drum N’ Bass stage this year. Maybe you fancy some electronic with a psychedelic twist? The Polish Ambassador, Ott and the All-Seeing I, Space Jesus, Opiou, will all be there to blow your mind. Jam Bands? The Disco Biscuits and Papadosio will be there to rock the stage. And of course it would be a crime to have an EDM festival in ATL without some Trap; Herobust and Keys N Krates gotchu covered. Pretty much everything under the sun in the world of dance music will be there. The event organizers have stated that “This is a monumental year for us, so we had to make sure the lineup was impactful and touched a diverse group of dance music fans.”
IMF offers much more than just EDM music and flashy lights, though. The festival also offers a unique underwater vibe full of wonder: “The festival will continue to build on its immersive aquatic fairytale with an abundance of performers, live acts, unique atmospheres, vendors and The Imaginarium’s variety of sacred teachings, ceremonies, and transformational workshops.”
The festival will have an entire Transformational Village called the Imaginarium, which makes it stand out from the crowd of other EDM festivals that are mostly about the music and art. This year the Imaginarium will feature Yoga classes, guided meditations, flow art, drum circles, and live art. In addition to these wonders, there will be 5 stages, a Silent Disco until sunrise, amusement rides, water features and installations.
If you aren’t already convinced that maybe you need to check this festival out, Imagine Festival made the Top Ten Emerging Music Festivals on USA Today. That’s kind of a big deal. General Admission + VIP on sale now! Visit the official Imagine Festival website (link) for more information.
