BRADLEY, CALIFORNIA — Lightning In a Bottle (LiB) is one of California’s biggest, most well-renowned, and epic transformational gatherings, and is produced by festival experts “The Do LaB.” The festival returns this memorial day weekend to Bradley, California at the Lake San Antonio Recreation Area. And thanks to California’s increased precipitation, the lake will be full at LiB this year! Every year, Do LaB outdoes themselves and brings great music with thundering bass lines to their various stages, as well as big art installations, educational workshops, yoga classes, and more. This year, the festival has announced very special art installations, workshop presenters, and more.

On top of their Lightning, Woogie, Thunder, and Grand Artique stages, the festival is also offering various musical sets at their Favela Bar and Pagoda Bar. These additional festival areas will have a variety special performances and late night happenings. The Favela Bar features Aldridge Brothers, Ali Kahlili, Human Resources and more. Pagoda Bar will be bumpin’ with tunes from artists like Artifact, Andreilien, and Sayer. The Pagoda bar will also feature surprise guests, so be sure to stop by and you might just catch a secret set!

LiB’s big art installations are bigger and better than ever this year. Dylan Blackstone, a geometric art designer, will be bringing in large bamboo structures like the ones that you can find at Envision Festival. Shrine, aka Brent Spears, will be curating festival-favorite contemporary installations of repurposed trash gazebos (also featured at Burning Man, Symbiosis, and Okeechobee Fest). The festival will feature Davis McCarty’s other-worldly architectural sculptures. Also on the roster for Big Art installations are Michael Christian‘s towering surreal metal sculptures and Linka Odom‘s luminous photographic installs.

Lightning In a Bottle has a reputation for creating an environment where you can be yourself, but also transform yourself. It is an opportunity to get supercharged with a jolt of inspiration, knowledge, empowerment, and bass-fueled beats. The Do LaB seeks to promote sustainability, social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression. When you go, be sure to check out more than the music–look for the compass area to point you in the right direction.

Find yourself a regenerative permaculture workshop, get rejuvenated with a yoga class, or attend an illuminating panel with Bioneers or the Indigenous Environmental Network. Whatever you do, the folks at LiB recommend you let go of rigid plans, and just surrender to the fluidity of the festival culture.
