SOMERSET, WISCONSIN — It comes with sad news to find out today that Summer Set Music Festival announced they will be taking the year off in 2018 to reflect on the vision and direction of the festival. This festival has been a staple for the electronic scene near the Twin Cities and surrounding WI areas for the past six years, where they’ve held acts like Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Deadmau5, Skrillex, The Weeknd, Big Gigantic and many more over the years.
Although it is not entirely clear as to what led to this decision, we are going to avoid speculation and be grateful of all the memories and experiences #SSMF has allowed us to have over the years. We are hopeful that Summer Set will come back with a strong return in 2019, and have the utmost respect for React Presents, SIMshows, Majestic Madison and all the others who have put their blood, sweat and tears into making this festival a place where we can all experience great music in the upper midwest.
