ANGELS CAMP, CALIFORNIA — In the heart of Northern California, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, there lies an event with enough soul to bring light to even the darkest corners of the earth. This event is called HeART and SOULstice Gathering: Metamorphosis. The gathering will host a space for transformation, music, art and education, where creative minds can meet and blossom.
This year’s lineup for the gathering brings together a variety of festival favorites, especially within the transformational festival circuit. Iconic tribal trap producer CloZee will headline the festival. Bay Area producer Thriftworks will bring chill electronic beats to the stage. Luminaries are a conscious rap group that brings skilled rhymes to all of their performances, with an uplifting message. There are many more artists worth checking out, so make sure the scour that lineup!
The most striking thing about this lineup is possibly the plethora of female musicians and producers. Luxora Major, CloZee, ill-esha, Applecat are all astonishingly talented electronic producers. Butterscotch is the world’s first female beatboxing champion. To put the icing on the cake, there will be a curated Metasonic Studio program with a “Femtastic Forum: All-Female Artist Q&A feat/ ill-esha Applecat & more”. To further highlight feminine artistry in the music industry, there will be an Amplify Her screening on Friday night.
To match with the gathering’s plethora of Permaculture workshops, The Polish Ambassador will be headlining the festival. Permaculture is a method of design that helps bring healing and regeneration to the planet and its people–definitely worth getting excited about. The Polish Ambassador’s dancey beats have been a catalyst for Permaculture Action across the country. The festival will also feature saQi and Ultimate Fantastic, who are artists from The Polish Ambassador’s repertoire, Jumpsuit Records.
It is clear that the gathering puts a lot of effort into curating music and spaces that facilitate healing, growth, and transformation. There will be a focus on outer metamorphosis, such as the many workshops and talks in the Permaculture Village and Storytelling Circle with activist speakers, to inner metamorphosis in their Healing Village and Yoga Shala. The Healing Village will offer workshops, gender healing circles, shamanic practices, and sound healing. Among the plethora of enticing offerings are an LGTQIA+ Healing Circle, Herbal Allies for Festival Health, and Lucid Dreaming for a Deeply Inspired Life.
The Storytelling circle will be offer workshops and talks from activists such as a #MeToo discussion with Diane Patterson and Sheba Love. The Yoga Shala will have an Elemental Qi Gong Class, Sunrise Meditations, Ecstatic Dance and Cacao Ceremonies. The dedicated volunteers and staff who help make the gathering a reality are obviously putting their energy towards creating positive change in the world and in the hearts of the attendees.
HeART and SOULstice Gathering: Metamorphosis will take place in Frogtown, a quaint venue located in Angels Camp, CA. The venue offers a number of amenities such as RV sites will full electric hookups, hot showers, shaded lawns, and beautiful scenery.
