Movement Electronic Music Festival 2019 Builds Anticipation in Fans with New Lineup Teaser

DETROIT, MICHIGAN — Fans of Movement Electronic Music Festival can rely on a well curated mix of sounds from all eras and an eclectic mix of genres for all tastes on each year’s lineup. 2019 is no exception. The teaser lineup, released first from Paxahau, includes announcements that make history, side-by-side with artists that are experiencing Movement for the first time. Movement Electronic Music Festival is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend May 25-27th, 2019 at Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan.

There is no lack of home town favorites including popular Detroit names like rapper Danny Brown, DJ Bone, and founder of minimalist techno Robert Hood performing as Floorplan. Some first time names to the Detroit festival include Amelie Lens, Chris Lake, DJ Nobu, Heiko Laux and Stephan Bodzin.

In large scale festival fashion, Movement also announced the first-ever performance for Orbital, a British duo that help to pioneer modern electronic music. These types of performances are the festival’s bread and butter, meant to inspire and expose to bring the historical history of the genre to the forefront for new listeners. Additional artists on the announcement include: HOT SINCE 82.

Movement has always been an event bringing young and old, from local or crossing many borders, and from countless generations together to dance for one beautiful holiday weekend in Hart Plaza.
