UVITA, COSTA RICA — Just two months from now, Envision Festival will celebrate its 10th gathering in the Costa Rican jungle as it expands from four to seven full days—further pushing the envelop to awaken, connect and inspire its dedicated tribe of Envisionaries.
The initial lineup presented a diverse music selection including headliners: RÜFÜS DU SOL, an Australian three-piece group that emerged as one of the world’s preeminent live electronic acts; CloZee, the unofficial resident of Envision and queen of world bass; Nahko and Medicine for the People, a group with a collective vision that sees and values music as a powerful redemptive, connecting and healing force; Tipper, the British born composer and producer specializing in an array of electronic music that ranges from Ambient, through Trip Hop, to uptempo Nu-skool Breakbeat.
Trickling down to the undercards, you will find an eclectic bunch of international, multi-cultural tastemakers coming together to instill vibratory energy to penetrate the depths of your soul via Funktion-One sound reinforcements.
With the focus on International House, these line-up additions are made up of top producers and DJs from Tulum, Berlin, Amsterdam and beyond. Berlin-based Jan Blomqvist has an unmistakable sound comprised of ‘fat, analog bass’ and his signature vocals. David Block, better known as The Human Experience, is a DJ, producer, composer, and artist from LA who uses art, music, and collaboration for social change. And Mexican electronic music producer Sainte Vie explores music through his multicultural electronic creations.
