HIGHLAND, UNITED KINGDOM — UK dubstep producer Robert Card, better known as Blackmill, released his first melodic dubstep track in four years to celebrate the holiday season. The six-minute and twenty-nine-second single titled “Redemption” features the relaxed and ambient sound design Card has become known for since releasing his debut album “Reach for Glory” in 2011.
A true master of the craft, Card hints on SoundCloud that his third studio album is in development and provides some additional context around the holiday release:
I was going to keep this under lock and key until the album was out, but since it’s the holiday season, I thought I would share it. I hope you like this one. Can’t believe it has been four years since my last melodic dubstep song. Love to all you beautiful beings!
A heavenly surprise from one of the most influential EDM artists in the game. And the people are loving it: “We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present for real Blackmill you have saved my life [and] I want to thank you,” notes a fan. “This feels like Blackmill,” another states.

The power of music heals on a deep level and we can’t thank Blackmill enough for sharing his gift with the world. Stand by for the release of the full album and (rumored) tour. Happy listening.
