NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA — Music festival plans cancelled? Rest no fear. Industry organizers are coming together and throwing a virtual music festival–streaming your favorite artists and producers directly to your TV, computer, or mobile phone!
Sofa King Fest (link) is an emergency response online music and arts directory aimed to minimize your COVID-19 quarantine boredom, while providing a platform to raise money for artists, crew, and music industry professionals affected by this pandemic.

Think festival grid meets TV Guide. Artists everywhere are stuck at home too, after all. Many of our favorite musicians will be live streaming intimate performances to support themselves, their band and crew members after industry-wide cancellations. Sofa King Fest will curate a “main stage” experience with a long and eclectic roster of artists performing while also offering a TV Guide meets music festival grid featuring all the streaming sets around the globe that we can find. Performances will be searchable by genre, location, cause, etc.
All proceeds will go directly to the artists, or the charity of their choosing.
We hope our site will help fans cope with the coming times we are forced to be at home and at the same time support working musicians and the global music industry community, providing some relief during this crisis. Don’t forget to wash your hands.
