BUKU Fest Survival Guide

by | Feb 26, 2022 | Festivals

BUKU Music and Arts Festival is making a comeback this year! After two years of no festivals, BUKU is making a name for themselves with their super impressive and versatile lineup. Hosting this festival at the legendary Mardi Gras grounds in New Orleans, there will be plenty of art, to music, to historical places, there is so much to see! So, being the awesome blog that we are, we have created a BUKU Festival Survival Guide to make things easy for fest timers.

Our Set List

While this festival is full of variety, we are most excited about the EDM acts that BUKU is bringing! Here is a list of our favorites from the weekend.

Troyboi

With weird and funky EDM beats, Troyboi has blown up in the scene. He  recently put out a song with the young heart throb Justin Bieber. It almost made me stop listening; but once you listen to their Collab, it’s actually pretty awesome and very wholesome. Troyboi is a personal favorite when it comes to tribal bass EDM beats.

CloZee

With mind bending tribal beats, CloZee has become a top EDM fan favorite. Her bass lines create unity amongst everyone, even Republicans and Democrats, now that’s something you have to see! Come be unified under the stars with her bass heavy set and get ready for wonky music.

Porter Robinson

To top off the Friday, big name Porter Robinson will be taking the stage with his lyrical and melodic EDM tunes. Tunes so good they put you in your feels and make you want to text your mom, friends, and maybe even your ex that you love them. Don’t miss this set.

Lane 8

Dosing you with a Progressive House EDM set, Lane 8 makes you want to immersive yourself in the beautiful bass. His euphoric sounds are once in a lifetime and never get recorded to put on YouTube. All Lane 8 shows in the past, cameras are taped up because cell phone cameras are not allowed…because “this never happened”. Since you can only experience this in person do NOT miss this legends set .

Sullivan King

This artist is for the metal heads of the festival. If you like EDM and metal, Sullivan King is the by product of this combination. It’s as if As I Lay Dying and Excision had a baby, and then Sullivan King was born. With his long flowy locks and electric guitar, Sullivan King puts on some VERY epic guitar solos while looking like a boss. Headbangers everywhere unite to see this gem in concert. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to.

Mersiv

An up and coming bass artist has risen since he who shall not be named has fallen in the bass community. If you like heavy bass EDM that doesn’t sound like robots dying, definitely check this out. You don’t have to head bang or push people in mosh pits to have a good time!. Just show up ready to vibe out with your new EDM family. All are welcome here, nothing is weird!
