Hey Texas, ATX has a new winter festival in town, and it’s kicking up dust! iLLFest has made a home for itself at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas, and its location is definitely a game changer.
From the location, to the stages, to the VIP, to the vendors, to the layout; iLLFest was well equipped and made it on our favorites list. We will definitely be back this September.
With multiple stages, this festival had different genres for every hour and mood with an exclusive elevated view. Our favorite was the main stage. With the main stage being set up at a higher elevation than the rest of the city, the sunsets and city of Austin as the backdrop was immaculate. This is like our own little ATX Gorge theatre.
The festival featured some pretty cool brands, including the Seratonin pop-up, which was vending all things trippy. There was a vendor row all lined with food on one side, and festival gear on the other. Due to this being a winter festival, I bet the vendors would make a killing selling jackets and winter gear!
VIP at the festival was equipped with tents, bars, front row viewing, and our favorite part, the heated bathrooms. It got pretty cold at night, so bundle up with your faux fur jackets and you’ll be S’living! You’re living your best life in the VIP area no questions asked, especially with the extra space and front row stage views, this alone is worth every penny.
The art at the festival exhibited artists from the area, from murals to stand alone exhibits, this was an immersive art experience if you know where to look! The dedicated areas to the art gave the festival an art exhibit vibe with the sounds of the music and bass in the background. Grab a drink and get immersed in the art when you need a break from the music!
Last but not least, the layout. The grounds of the festival are well equipped to expand next year if they so choose. The land was laid out perfectly, especially if they want to host more people. All the stages were set up perfectly so the sounds didn’t blend, and the walking distance was bearable.
If you’re looking for a fest in the winter, iLLFest is definitely my new go to, especially being so close to Dallas and the location! Come early and make it a week adventure! Stay at a hotel and experience the city of Austin while you’re here. This festival is set to come back in September, and we are so ready!
