BAKERSFIELD, CA – 20 years of Lightning in a Bottle (LiB) has all led up to this. As California’s premier transformational event, LiB has set a high standard for immersive art, eclectic music, and educational/spiritual exploration. This year the festival has released Phase 01 of its biggest, most eclectic lineup yet.
Taking the Lightning Stage will be electrified by renowned producers Rezz, and ZHU, as well as energetic groups like Sofi Tukker, Phantogram, Beats Antique, Moontricks and more.
Various bass-centered acts like TOKiMONSTA, The Glitch Mob, Ahee, Wreckno, LSDream and Liquid Stranger will shake up the Thunder Stage.
Joining the LiB for the first time, Grammy winning producer Diplo will grace the Woogie stage, which historically features house artists. Joining the him at Woogie will be Purple Disco Machine, Georgia Angiuli, TSHA, BLOND:ISH and many more.
It seems the organizers of the event, Do Lab, have given special attention to booking more female acts. In an EDM industry that is largely dominated by males, giving space on festival lineups for more female acts is an important step towards gender equality. Female artists like Rochelle Jordan, Rezz, Sofi Tukker, BLOND:ISH, TSHA, TOKiMONSTA, Mary Dropinz, Bambii, UNIIQU3, Shawni, DESIREE, Zingara, Layla Benitez, and many more will play at LiB this year.
Do Lab is also responsible for house music event Dirtybird Campout, as well as hosting a stage yearly at Coachella. They have also designed strikingly avant-garde for megalithic gatherings around the world, like Global Eclipse Gathering and Boom Festival.
Lightning in a Bottle returns for another creative wonderland during May 24-29th, 2023 at Buena Vista Lake in Bakersfield, California. To peep closer into the magical world of LiB, check out or 2019 review article.
