PHOENIX, ARIZONA- Returning to its eighth year in the Arizona Valley, Phoenix Lights 2023 reappeared to Phoenix Raceway on April 7th and 8th. Attendees from all over the country came to this earthling gathering to celebrate dance music, immersive art, and EDM culture.
Headliners such as Martin Garrix, Ganja White Night, Afrojack, AC Slater, and many more took the stage. Galactic dancers joined the artists on stage along with other aliens from out of this world as they danced along the headliners! VIP goers were able to enjoy the music from front row as other festival attendees were right behind them on the rail bopping away.
Hosted by event promoting company, Relentless Beats, Phoenix Lights was held inside the Phoenix Raceway which differed from the last Relentless Beats events. Attendee Brianna Bryan, 28, was interviewed about the venue change. This is what she had to say: “I recently had the pleasure of attending Phoenix Lights, an AZ festival held at The Phoenix Raceway in Avondale. This was my first time attending an event at this location, and Relentless Beats did NOT disappoint! The energy was electric, and the crowd was absolutely wild. I was particularly impressed with Ganja White Night’s set. Their unique blend of dubstep and reggae was the perfect combination to get the crowd moving. They brought the heat – the bass was so heavy that I could feel it in my chest. Overall, Phoenix Lights at the Phoenix Raceway was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. The combination of talented performers, amazing visuals, and a passionate crowd made for an unforgettable night!”
Relentless Beats has started incorporating art and small local businesses within the past year. Attendees got to enjoy the immersive art hosted by our Arizona local artists such as Manicquins! Boo Wurger, 26, was interviewed about her art and growth in the Arizona music scene with Relentless Beats. Here is her story: Boo Wuerger is a contemporary artist known for her vibrant and colorful abstract painted mannequins. Her work often features bold lines and shapes that create a sense of movement and energy. Boo’s style is influenced by her love for colors, lighting, psychedelic art, and tie-dye. Many of her pieces are often inspired by the natural world, with organic forms and patterns that evoke a sense of growth and transformation as well as appreciating the female body. Overall, Boo’s art is a celebration of color, form, and creative expression. Boo began displaying her art at local Phoenix, Arizona shows in June 2022 and now displays at all Relentless Beats festivals.
In addition to the fantastic headliners and art, Relentless Beats had a shuffling platform for all dancers to come together and bust a move! The fun did not stop there! Phoenix Lights had a dodgeball tournament for all attendees to partake in!
