BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA — Lightning In a Bottle (LiB) has been a signature festival of Southern California for the over 15 years. Each year it has grown to something more magnificent, featuring impressive and artful structures built by Do Lab, the producers of the festival.
The event is known for featuring world-class lineups of primarily electronic music, with a variety of other genres to put icing on the cake. LiB is also well-known for its renowned speakers and workshops around topics such as sustainability, social justice, healing, healthy living, spirituality and yoga. Last year the festival partnered with Bioneers to produce a visionary speaker lineup that was truly inspiring.

In 2019, the festival will move to Buena Vista Lake in Kern County, California just outside of Bakersfield. With a shorter travel from LA, lakefront access, camping, grass, trees and RV hook-up spots, this spot is sure to be an ideal venue for the festival. The terrain will also be flatter, which means no more hills. The festival organizers also anticipate there being less dust than previous years.
LiB has announced a spectacular lineup with headliners like multi-genre singer Santigold, UK-based electronic duo Disclosure, Electrofunk producer Gramatik, and Jazz-fusion R&B artist Masego to name a few. The house-fueled Woogie stage will feature crowd favorites like Lane 8 from the Anjunabeats label, Shiba San, and DJ Koze. The Thunder stage, featuring more psychedelic and bass artists, will be supported by G Jones, Opiou, CloZee, Desert Dwellers, and more.
