San Francisco-bred, Los Angeles-based Jackie Hollander is a rising star in the melodic house and techno sphere, known for mining elements from classic trance and techno to create chugging yet euphoric club cuts.
Jackie returns to Insomniac Records to issue her sophomore single “I Look Good,” a weighty house number bolstering a bold, brazen vocal hook from Lizzy Land that could not get any more confident. It loops tirelessly through hefty bassline rumbles, sporadic squelchy embellishments, cosmic bleep tones, and menacing synth growls.
“I wanted to make a follow-up song to my last big release, “All My Friends Are Hot.” I wanted this song to be about feeling confident in yourself and knowing you look good. This is a song really about self-confidence,” Jackie says.
She adds, “I made a beat I was obsessed with and knew going into the session it would be a special song. The writer/singer had looked me up before our session and already had the lyrics she wanted to use. When I played her the beat, her lyrics went perfectly to it. It truly was magic and was so meant to be. Thus, “I Look Good” was born.”
‘I Look Good’ follows Jackie’s previous single, 2024’s “My Power,’ which received support from Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, Nexus Radio, Kiss FM AUS, Prysm Radio, and Deep Dance Radio, among others.
