ENNIS, TEXAS — Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins will descend on Houston Raceway in Baytown, Texas on October 29 and 30 for Freaky Deaky, the most haunted festival of them all. All revelers will be treated to an unforgettable otherworldly experience featuring some of the most mind-blowing music, set designs, costumes, and camping grounds around. With so much sensory overload going on at Freaky Deaky, and more than 80 artists on tap on multiple stages, it can be easy to lose track of time and your agenda. Here, then, are five things not to miss this Halloween weekend.

Devilish delights will be served up at:

  • The Shrine with Deadmau5, Excision, Zeds Dead, JVNA + more

  • The Crypt with 12th Planet, Big Chocolate, Infected Mushroom DJ set, Grizzly, Zia + more

1) CAMPING IN FREAKY TOWN

For the first time, Freaky Deaky will be offering camping options so revelers will be able to participate in a more fully immersive experience by staying on the grounds overnight. Freaky Town will feature lots of fun camping activities as well as a camping-exclusive pre-party. Earlier this week, Freaky Deaky rallied fans to 200 retweets, earning them a set from festival headliner Adventure Club in the campgrounds on Thursday night. If Texas fans have learned anything from Ubbi Dubbi this past April, this pre-party is NOT TO BE MISSED.

Enjoy all that Freaky Town has to offer from morning yoga sessions to stretch out your zombie legs to late night spooky silent discos. Look freaky fresh every day with a stop at the salon or barbershop or take a break from the bone rattling dance floor with a trip to the massage parlor. Missing your friends who didn’t dare to make it to Freaky Deaky? Fans can visit the post office where they can send official Freaky Deaky postcards to their friends and family. 2) GRAVEYARD HAUNTED HOUSE

Dare to enter the haunted house better known as the gRaveyard for extra thrills and chills. It’s twice the size of last year, so be ready for twice the sights and frights. The Freaky Deaky design and production teams are stepping up to the challenge and creating some of the spookiest and most spectacular backdrops and interactive installations for this year’s festivities. It will only cost you your soul.

4) LADY FREAKS ON THE COME UP!

Freaky Deaky has lined up some of the most monstrous DJ Sets:

  • Dare to dwell into Russian-born, New-York-based Julia Govor’s sophisticated side of techno, as the multidisciplinary music label head honcho will keep the tunes detail-loaded.

  • Inspired by future bass, JVNA’s set will take you up to the heavens with her angelic voice. Head on over to the Crypt to check out on-the-rise ZÍA and see why she wooed audiences during her tours with HE$H and Bommer.

  • Double the trouble –with badass B2B Girl Boss — VNSSA and J. Worra with a set that will surely be to die for!

  • The London-born, Phoenix-raised, Blossom was named one of the 10 Best Female DJs in Phoenix – find out the reasons why when she takes over Haunted Hollow with her mystifying beats.

  • Don’t miss this hard energy set as the #1 Hardstyle Producer / DJ in America, Lady Faith aka “Queen Bitch of Hardstyle” takes down The Crypt.

  • Lucii makes her return to Freaky Deaky 2021 after her debut in 2019 at 3:30pm that enticed thousands of freaks to show up early. She jumped 5 slots later to 8:30pm for this year’s set, and she is not one to miss!

5) COSTUMES

Need some inspiration for your creepy costume? Disco Donnie Presents got you! Check out ideas here in the Costume Blog. Freaky Deaky apparel is unlike any other festival. The fans take extra pride in dressing up to the nines in some of the most outlandish costumes of the season. Prepare to be surrounded by a nightmarish cast of demons, demigods, and other underworld denizens. Better yet, don your most garish apparel and join the fun!
